What is a Mega Flush?
A Mega Flush is a total fluid exchange for your automatic transmission. Unlike a standard drain and fill, which removes and replaces only a portion of the fluid in your gearbox, a total fluid exchange uses specialist machinery to cycle through the entire transmission system, removing old fluid along with contaminants, oxidised additives and sludge that build up over time.
A standard drain and fill leaves up to 60% of the old fluid behind. A Mega Flush total fluid exchange removes up to 99.9%. That is a significant difference for the health and longevity of your transmission.
The Equipment We Use
We use the Launch CAT501 machine to carry out every Mega Flush. This is specialist transmission flush equipment that cycles through the entire transmission system, extracting old fluid and contaminants before refilling with new fluid that meets or exceeds the manufacturer specification for your vehicle.
Very few independent garages in Kent have this equipment. It is one of the things that sets us apart.
Why Your Transmission Needs It
Transmission fluid does not last indefinitely. The additives in it oxidise and degrade, reducing its ability to lubricate clutch plates, dissipate heat and keep the internal components of your gearbox clean. As the fluid deteriorates, acid and sludge build up inside the transmission, increasing wear and raising the risk of premature failure.
